Location: Chicago, IL
A highly regarded midsize law firm is seeking a 1-3 year Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle significant and sophisticated disputes for a diverse client base ranging from private businesses to Fortune 100 companies.
The successful candidate will join an established litigation practice representing clients in state and federal courts across the country, offering intellectually challenging work, significant responsibility and direct mentorship within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in sophisticated commercial litigation matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis across complex disputes
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Assist with discovery, depositions and case strategy
- Support preparation for hearings and trial proceedings
- Work closely with experienced litigators on high-profile matters
- Represent a diverse client base across a range of industries
Who You Are:
- 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience
- J.D. from a Top 14 law school with a minimum 3.2 GPA, or top 10% of the class from a Top 50 law school
- Strong commercial litigation experience
- Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials and intellectual ability
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation:
Salary Range: $205,000 – $220,000 (DOE)
Bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package are also offered.
