Location: Portland, OR
A leading national law firm is seeking a 4-6 year Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Portland office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated litigation practice representing local, national and international clients across a broad range of complex disputes.
The successful candidate will work on matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, with significant opportunities for responsibility and professional development within a collaborative national platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters
- Handle matters in state and federal courts
- Work on disputes at both the trial and appellate levels
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings and trial preparation
- Develop litigation strategies alongside partners and senior attorneys
- Work directly with clients across a range of industries
Who You Are:
- 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience handling sophisticated litigation matters
- Class action experience is a plus
- Active Oregon Bar admission or ability to waive in
- Washington and/or California Bar admission is a plus
Compensation:
Salary Range: $230,000 – $260,000 (DOE)
Eligible attorneys may also receive incentive and/or profit-sharing bonuses.
