Structured Finance Associate Attorney | 4+ Years | Boston

Structured Finance Associate Attorney | 4+ Years | Boston

An elite structured finance practice is seeking a mid-level associate with 4+ years of experience to join its Boston team. This opportunity is particularly well suited to an attorney who has developed a strong foundation in structured finance, securitization, and/or collateralized loan obligation (CLO) transactions and is ready to take on greater responsibility within a sophisticated finance practice.

The successful candidate will work on complex structured finance matters for sophisticated market participants, gaining exposure to technically demanding transactions and evolving financing structures. The position offers the opportunity to deepen specialist expertise while working alongside experienced finance attorneys on significant transactions.

At the mid-level, the associate will be expected to play an active role throughout the lifecycle of transactions. Responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing transaction documents, managing deal processes and competing deadlines, analyzing complex financing structures, coordinating with clients and counterparties, and helping drive matters efficiently toward closing.

The practice offers a collaborative and supportive environment while giving associates the autonomy expected at this level of seniority. Attorneys who demonstrate strong judgment, technical ability, and client-management skills will have the opportunity to assume increasingly significant responsibility and continue developing their profile within the structured finance market.

Candidates should have:

  • 4+ years of structured finance, securitization, and/or CLO experience
  • Strong transactional experience gained within a sophisticated finance practice
  • Previous experience working in a law firm, with large-law-firm experience particularly valued
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commercial judgment and meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple complex matters and deadlines
  • Confidence communicating with clients, counterparties, and senior attorneys
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A JD
  • Admission to the relevant state bar, or the ability to satisfy applicable admission requirements

A hybrid working arrangement is available, combining office-based and remote work.

Compensation: $310,000–$390,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage and a 401(k) retirement plan.

For a structured finance attorney looking to build on substantive securitization or CLO experience, this role provides a strong platform to handle increasingly sophisticated matters while continuing to develop both technical and client-facing capabilities.
