An exciting opportunity is available for a junior to mid-level associate to join a nationally recognised practice advising on the development of cutting-edge digital infrastructure projects across the United States.
This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated, high-value data center developments, representing developers, investors, lenders, hyperscale users, and other key stakeholders through every stage of the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with experienced attorneys across multiple disciplines while playing a key role in delivering practical, business-focused legal solutions on some of the industry’s most significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients throughout all phases of complex data center development projects.
- Handle commercial real estate and development transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and ground leases.
- Review title and survey matters and advise on land use, zoning, permitting, and entitlement issues.
- Draft and negotiate construction agreements, development contracts, commercial leases, utility agreements, and interconnection agreements.
- Coordinate due diligence and work alongside environmental and engineering consultants during project development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure, real estate, finance, environmental, construction, and regulatory matters.
Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of experience in complex commercial real estate or development transactions gained within a law firm.
- Experience with project development matters such as acquisitions, leasing, permitting, zoning, construction, utilities, or related infrastructure projects.
- Experience in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, project finance, or public-private partnerships is highly desirable.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to manage sophisticated transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced transactional environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
- Previous experience working in a law firm is required.
- Active Missouri Bar admission is required.
