A leading global law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice in New York. This is an exceptional opportunity to advise clients on sophisticated Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings while working alongside an internationally recognised restructuring team.
The role offers exposure to complex domestic and cross-border matters, significant responsibility and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across a global platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and complex restructuring matters
- Support in-court and out-of-court restructurings for a broad range of stakeholders
- Draft pleadings, motions and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on restructuring and insolvency issues
- Assist with distressed transactions and restructuring negotiations
- Work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated domestic and cross-border matters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across international offices to deliver integrated legal solutions
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Experience with Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings
- Strong drafting, analytical and legal writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working within a collaborative global team environment
- Bankruptcy court clerkship experience preferred but not required
- Strong academic credentials
- Admitted and in good standing with the New York Bar
Compensation:
Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
