Location: Seattle, WA
A growing national law firm is seeking a 2nd–4th year Associate to join its Insolvency & Financial Law Group in Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters as part of a well-established practice with more than 80 years of experience representing stakeholders across a broad range of distressed situations.
The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure and a clear equity partnership track within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters
- Advise stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings and other insolvency-related disputes
- Handle bankruptcy litigation matters, including avoidance actions
- Assist with state court receiverships and related proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions and other substantive court filings
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies for complex insolvency matters
- Work directly with secured lenders, landlords, unsecured creditors, trustees, committees and asset purchasers
- Collaborate with colleagues on sophisticated financial restructuring matters across multiple industries
Who You Are:
- 2nd–4th year associate
- Experience in bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters
- Bankruptcy litigation experience, including avoidance actions, preferred
- Experience with receiverships is a plus
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Bankruptcy court clerkship experience strongly preferred
- Licensed to practise in Washington
Compensation:
Salary Range: $235,000 – $265,000 (DOE)
Bonus Potential: Up to $106,000 annually
