A leading international law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Special Matters & Government Investigations practice in Chicago. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated government investigations, internal investigations and white collar matters for a diverse range of clients facing high-stakes regulatory and enforcement issues.
The role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with a nationally recognised investigations team on complex and sensitive matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on government investigations and regulatory enforcement matters
- Conduct internal investigations involving allegations of misconduct and compliance concerns
- Support clients responding to inquiries from government agencies and regulators
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex white collar and regulatory issues
- Draft memoranda, investigative reports and other substantive written work product
- Assist with witness interviews, fact development and investigative strategy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions for clients facing regulatory challenges
- Support clients through all phases of investigations and related proceedings
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Experience handling government investigations, internal investigations and white collar matters
- Superior academic credentials from a top law school
- Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment
- Foreign language skills are a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
Compensation:
Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
