A leading international law firm is seeking a 2nd–4th year Associate to join its Global Employment, Immigration & Equity Compensation practice (Multiple Locations). This is an exceptional opportunity to advise innovative technology companies and multinational employers on sophisticated cross-border employment and immigration matters within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The role offers broad exposure to corporate immigration, international employment law and equity compensation matters, with the opportunity to work directly with emerging companies and global enterprises on strategic workforce issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on U.S. and global employment-based immigration matters
  • Conduct visa assessments and develop immigration strategies for corporate clients
  • Prepare and file employment-based visa petitions, including H-1B, E-3, L-1, O-1, TN and E-2 applications
  • Guide clients through permanent residency processes, including PERM matters
  • Advise employers on employment immigration compliance and policy issues
  • Counsel multinational organisations on international employment matters, including hiring, workplace policies and performance management
  • Prepare comparative analyses of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support the preparation of equity compensation overviews
  • Collaborate with high-growth companies and multinational employers across a variety of industries

Who You Are:

  • 2nd–4th year associate
  • Extensive experience advising clients on U.S. employment-based immigration matters
  • Experience preparing and filing a high volume of employment-based visa petitions with minimal supervision
  • Experience responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs)
  • Proven ability to advise multinational employers on immigration matters
  • Experience with global employment law and equity compensation matters, or a strong interest in developing these skills
  • Global immigration experience is a plus
  • Prior experience at a corporate immigration law firm preferred
  • Strong judgement, professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Member of the California or New York Bar, depending on office location

Compensation:
Salary Range: $160,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
