A prominent national law firm is seeking a Public Finance Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join its expanding finance practice in Atlanta.
This opportunity is ideal for a junior associate looking to build a strong foundation in public finance while gaining exposure to sophisticated transactional work across economic development, tax-exempt financing, and public-private partnership matters. What You’ll Be Doing
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing and loan documentation across a range of public finance transactions
- Assist in structuring tax-exempt bond financings and related transactional matters
- Support economic development incentive projects and public-private partnership initiatives
- Coordinate transaction workflows and manage deal timelines from inception through closing
- Work directly with clients, financial institutions, governmental entities, and other transaction participants
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategic client initiatives and business development efforts
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of transactional experience within a law firm, ideally in public finance, real estate, corporate, or financial services
- Interest in public finance, tax-exempt bond transactions, and economic development matters
- Strong drafting and document management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple active matters and maintain strong attention to detail
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Previous experience working in a law firm is required
- Admission to the Georgia Bar, or pending admission
