A highly regarded and rapidly expanding debt finance practice is seeking a talented associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a dynamic and collaborative team. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value transactions alongside experienced practitioners in a practice known for handling complex financings across a diverse client base.
The Opportunity
You will play a central role in advising lenders, borrowers, and financial sponsors on a wide range of financing matters. The work is both varied and substantive, offering exposure to middle-market transactions as well as select large-cap and cross-border deals. This position provides meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and a clear path for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent lenders, arrangers, agents, and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral credit facilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of loan and finance documents
- Advise on secured lending structures, including first lien, second lien, and unsecured transactions
- Support leveraged acquisitions, revolving credit facilities, and term loan financings
- Conduct and manage due diligence processes, including organizational and lien review
- Coordinate and execute complex deal closings
- Negotiate third-party deliverables such as control agreements and related instruments
- Collaborate closely with clients across industries, including financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and middle-market companies

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–6 years of debt finance or secured lending experience
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating credit and loan documentation
- Familiarity with secured transactions, including UCC Article 9
- Experience managing diligence and closing processes
- For more senior candidates: exposure to legal opinions and related diligence
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Prior experience working in a law firm is required
Compensation
Competitive compensation package with a base salary in the range of $220,000–$250,000, plus performance-based bonus potential.
