Restructuring & Special Situations Associate
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

A leading global law firm is seeking a 2–4 year Associate to join its Restructuring & Special Situations practice in Salt Lake City. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex bankruptcy, restructuring and distressed transactions across a broad range of industries.

Associates will gain exposure to both in-court and out-of-court restructurings, working on sophisticated domestic and cross-border matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings
• Support creditor rights, distressed M&A and insolvency matters
• Draft pleadings, motions and transactional documents
• Assist with debt exchange transactions and restructuring strategies
• Participate in court proceedings and hearings
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex restructuring issues
• Work on cross-border insolvency and special situations matters

Who You Are:

• 2–4 years of restructuring and bankruptcy experience
• Experience with creditor rights, distressed transactions or insolvency matters
• Exposure to bankruptcy litigation and/or restructuring transactions
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills
• Experience drafting pleadings and transactional documents
• Admitted to the Utah Bar or eligible for admission
