A globally respected finance practice is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate (3–7 years’ experience) to join its dynamic debt finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions representing lenders, borrowers, private credit funds, and institutional investors.
Associates in this practice gain exposure to sophisticated financing structures across a wide range of industries while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced, international practice.
The Opportunity
You will work on a broad spectrum of financing matters involving both traditional and alternative lenders. The team regularly handles complex credit transactions including private credit financings, syndicated lending arrangements, and structured credit transactions.
Associates in this practice take on meaningful responsibility in structuring, documenting, and negotiating financing transactions while developing strong client-facing and deal management skills.
Key Responsibilities

Advise lenders and borrowers on domestic and international financing transactions

Assist with private credit transactions and growth capital financings

Support syndicated credit facilities and multi-lender lending structures

Work on receivables financings and structured credit transactions

Assist with distressed financings and restructuring-related lending matters

Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, and related financing documentation

Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate deal execution through closing
Ideal Candidate Profile

3–7 years of experience in banking, finance, or secured lending within a sophisticated law firm environment

JD required and prior experience working in a law firm
-
Experience advising lenders, borrowers, or private credit funds in complex financing transactions
-
Familiarity with structured finance, syndicated lending, or private credit transactions
-
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
-
Strong client service mindset and the ability to work effectively in collaborative deal teams
-
Active membership in a U.S. state bar
