An international law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 8+ years of experience to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for an attorney with significant experience representing financial institutions and handling complex disputes involving distressed commercial real estate assets and secured creditor remedies.
The position offers the opportunity to lead high-value, sophisticated litigation matters nationwide within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage litigation teams in complex commercial matters in federal and state courts across the United States

Represent financial institutions, servicers, lenders, CMBS trusts, and insurance companies in distressed loan and real estate disputes

Advise on workouts, forbearances, discounted payoffs, deeds-in-lieu, note sales, receiverships, and foreclosures

Handle CMBS and loan servicing litigation matters

Manage contested bankruptcy proceedings, UCC sales, mezzanine loan enforcement, and replevin actions

Defend lenders in liability actions involving breach of contract, fiduciary duty, fraud, and related claims

Represent clients in arbitration proceedings, including AAA matters

Advise on title insurance disputes, quiet title actions, lien priority disputes, and boundary matters

Handle complex business disputes including franchise, financing, real estate, and shareholder matters
Who You Are:
-
8+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
-
Significant experience representing financial institutions or secured lenders
-
Strong background in commercial real estate litigation and secured creditor remedies

Experience leading cases independently and managing litigation teams

Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain promptly
Preferred experience includes CMBS litigation, distressed real estate matters, bankruptcy litigation related to secured lending, arbitration, and title insurance disputes.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $295,000 – $315,000 (DOE)
