Location: Washington, DC

A leading national law firm is seeking a 4th–5th year Associate (Class of 2021–2022) to join its Antitrust & Competition Practice Group in Washington, DC or New York. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated merger reviews, investigations, and complex competition matters within a highly regarded and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) reportability and premerger notification requirements

• Prepare and manage complex HSR filings

• Coordinate foreign filing analyses across multi-jurisdictional transactions

• Support merger transactions by advising on antitrust risk and regulatory strategy

• Draft antitrust risk-shifting covenants in purchase agreements

• Represent clients in Second Request investigations and agency reviews

• Manage clean team protocols and regulatory compliance processes

Who You Are:

• 4th–5th year Associate (Class of 2021–2022)

• Demonstrated experience handling complex HSR filings and M&A antitrust matters

• Experience in a major law firm and/or government setting preferred

• Exposure to Second Request investigations or similar regulatory reviews strongly preferred

• Strong academic credentials from an ABA-approved law school

• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Admitted and in good standing in DC or New York, or eligible for timely admission

Compensation:
Salary Range: $290,000 – $310,000 (DOE)
