Experience: 1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in private practice, ideally with an EE or CS technical focus
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $150,000–$310,000
The Opportunity
A Boston-based IP boutique is seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate with a background in electrical engineering or computer science. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications

Draft high-quality patent applications and Office Action responses

Work directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams

Support strategic patent portfolio development and management

Assist with due diligence, licensing, and litigation support as required
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (Computer Science also considered)

Active USPTO registration required

1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting

Experience with U.S. and international patent prosecution

Industry experience or patent litigation exposure is a plus

Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
