Compensation: $150,000–$310,000

The Opportunity

A Boston-based IP boutique is seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate with a background in electrical engineering or computer science. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications

  • Draft high-quality patent applications and Office Action responses

  • Work directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams

  • Support strategic patent portfolio development and management

  • Assist with due diligence, licensing, and litigation support as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (Computer Science also considered)

  • Active USPTO registration required

  • 1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting

  • Experience with U.S. and international patent prosecution

  • Industry experience or patent litigation exposure is a plus

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
