A well-established employment and labor practice is seeking an associate to join its growing Employment, Labor & Workforce Management team in New York. The practice advises employers on the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, with a particular focus on traditional labor law and workforce strategy.
This role offers meaningful client exposure, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise and represent employers on labor and employment matters under federal and state law.

Handle traditional labor matters, including issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act and union-related matters.

Provide day-to-day employment counselling to management teams on compliance, workforce policies, and employee relations.

Represent employers in administrative proceedings and related disputes.

Draft memoranda, position statements, and other written advocacy materials.

Participate in client development initiatives and professional networking activities.
Who You Are:

At least 3 years of labor and employment experience representing employers.

Strong grounding in traditional labor law, including union-related matters and NLRA issues.

Excellent academic credentials with strong writing and communication skills.

Comfortable with direct client interaction and advisory work.

Commercial, practical approach to problem-solving in a fast-moving practice.
Compensation:
-
Salary Range: $220,000 – $275,000 DOE

Bonus: Discretionary performance-based bonus
