Commercial Litigation Associate
Location: Los Angeles, CA
A well-regarded California firm is seeking a litigation associate to join its Los Angeles office. The team handles a broad range of complex commercial disputes and offers associates meaningful responsibility, strong advocacy exposure, and a clear path to progression within a collaborative litigation department.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle commercial litigation matters including breach of contract, tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery with precision and strong analytical focus.

Take and defend depositions and argue motions.

Prepare matters for trial and support trial teams as cases progress.

Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues while managing discrete workstreams independently.

Support matters involving intellectual property disputes where applicable.
Who You Are:

3+ years of broad-based litigation experience in a law firm environment.

Strong academic credentials with excellent research, writing, and drafting skills.
-
Confident oral advocate with experience in motion practice and depositions.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
-
Experience in intellectual property litigation is a plus but not required.

Member of the California Bar (required).
Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $250,000 – $275,000 DOE
Total Compensation: Associates meeting performance thresholds can expect total compensation in the range of $385,000 – $425,000, inclusive of discretionary bonuses, with additional origination-based incentives available.
